It was “party-time” at the Singapore Expo Hall 2 on 31 July as our nurses came together to celebrate Nurses Day 2005. An ardent supporter of nurses, Minister of Health Mr Khaw Boon Wan took time off from his precious Sunday morning to join in the celebration.

And what a blast it was with our nurses strutting off their talents in song and dance. Their patients probably wouldn’t recognise them in their glitzy outfits, gyrating to the hottest music!

Paying a tribute to our nursing colleagues who are in the frontline, caring for patients, NHG CEO Dr Lim Suet Wun said: “Nurses are the pillar on which all our care is given.”

As part of the celebrations this year, NHG nurses raised $30,000 for the Yellow Ribbon Project to help ex-prisoners.
